Trash Cancer and Think Pink – Breast Cancer Awareness

As we enter October, the color pink takes on a whole new meaning each autumn season. Breast cancer has affected 3.1 million U.S. women who are alive today (either currently receiving treatments or in remission.) In total, one in three people will be impacted by cancer in the United States, which is a stark reminder that cancer touches everyone. During National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, locally-owned Gallegos Sanitation invites you to join the THINK PINK Program and please help us trash all cancer.

How can you help?

You can start by trading out your teal trash cart for a pink cart. By going “Pink,” funds stay here in northern Colorado and benefit the UCHealth Cancer Center or Lydia Dody Hope Lives! Breast Cancer Foundation. Or you can rent special event equipment. All “Pink” items directly aid in support, research and treatments.

These charitable organizations truly help local people in our community. Whether they are cancer survivors, fighting the fight or families who have lost loved ones, these groups make a real difference.

How the THINK PINK Program Works

The THINK PINK Cart Program has an initial fee* of $40, $20 of which goes to a local cancer awareness foundation of your choice. The annual renewal is $25, with $20 going directly to the foundation. (A $5 fee applies to cart maintenance and processing, the remaining funds go toward the premium cost difference of the equipment and exchange process).

For special event equipment rental, including dumpsters, roll-offs and portable toilets, please call for pricing. A portion of each rental benefits local cancer organizations.
