A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A DIETARY AIDE / FOOD SERVICE WORKER
As a Dietary Aide / Food Service Worker, you arrive for each shift ready to make the daily ritual of mealtime a pleasant and enjoyable time for our elderly residents. You have a positive, can-do attitude and arrive for each shift ready to get to work. You understand the deep emotional connections that people have with meal times and take advantage of the opportunities to build relationships with our senior residents and their families. Your warm smile makes everyone feel welcome. You take care as you help set up the dining room for meals and assist with cleaning in various parts of the work area. You understand that the dining area is an extension of home to our extension of home to our residents. You pay close attention to safety and sanitation guidelines as you provide food service.
Once everyone's needs have been met, you help wash dishes and put them away; making sure that everything is ready for the next time. You are a team player who works together with the cooks, dietary supervisor, other staff, and residents to make sure that mealtime is a positive experience for all involved. You feel good about the important part that you play in the well-being of our residents!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A DIETARY AIDE / FOOD SERVICE WORKER
* At least 16 years of age * In good physical and mental health with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. * Ability to pass a criminal background check
