FORT COLLINS, CO: Dohn Construction hosted its 8th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, on Friday, September 28, 2018 at SouthRidge Golf Club. This year’s tournament raised funds for The Matthews House, a Fort Collins based non-profit empowering young adults and families in transition on the road to self sufficiency.
Dohn Construction’s Annual Golf Tournament raises funds for a different local charity each year. Dohn Construction staff participated in two rounds of voting to narrow down a list of 10 charities to four, before finally choosing The Matthews House. According to The Matthews House’s website, “[Their] mission is to empower youth and families by building trusting relationships and providing resources to disrupt the cycles of poverty and abuse”
The Dohn Construction Annual Charity Golf Tournament has consistently sold out of its 34 team slots and multiple sponsorship opportunities each year, and this year was no exception with the largest amount of funds raised in the history of the tournament at over $24,500. The event featured contests and hole games throughout the course, including costumes, a dunk tank, and even an opportunity to win a new car, as well as a silent auction, with all funds raised from each activity directly benefiting The Matthews House.
In thanks, Dohn Construction President, Doug Dohn said, “Thank you to everyone who made this event possible including sponsors, participants, volunteers, our team at Dohn and our DCI Golf Tournament Committee.” He adds, “Through your generous support, we are proud to have helped make a difference for such a wonderful organization that does so much in our community.”
