The We R Foco program was created to emphasize the importance of shopping local and supporting small businesses in Fort Collins. We R Foco focuses on sharing the stories of community involvement, business to business support, nonprofit partnerships, and the overall voice of locally owned businesses.

Since the program began in August 2018, we have seen it grow tremendously and exceed our first-year goals. We have tracked the progress and growth this program has achieved since its inception. In the below infographic, you can see the position that We R Foco stands, as of April 2019.

We have broken down the website statistics as well as We R Foco’s social media presence.

The We R Foco website (werfoco.com) consists of a Why Local tab which shares the importance of shopping locally, Local Stories, a Business Directory, Events & Specials, and a Job Board. The website overall has developed into an in-depth resource for everything local. The site has had a total of 10,000 visitors with almost 45,000 page views. The average time spent on the site is about 1 minute and 52 seconds, which is considerably long compared to average sites. In addition, the website’s bounce rate is 2.84%, and has currently decreased since April. A low bounce rate is a good thing! This low bounce rate confirms that the We R Foco site is meeting users’ needs and they are able to find what they are looking for without bouncing to another site.

In terms of social media, We R Foco focuses on two fitting platforms, Facebook and Instagram. By utilizing both platforms, We R Foco has been able to reach different audiences in special ways. These two platforms specifically help notify the public quickly and efficiently about things going on with our members and in the community.

As of April 2019, We R Foco has over 1,172 Facebook Likes and an average of 10.76 likes/reactions per post. There have been 218,265 total impressions and almost 8,000 clicks on the We R Foco Facebook page. In April, the We R Foco Instagram (@werfoco) had around 553 followers, but since then has increased its following to well-over 600. On Instagram, we have found that our most popular audience is females who are 35-44 years old. This demographic includes women and mothers who are looking to stay up-to-date with local businesses and what is going on in Fort Collins. We R Foco has an excellent engagement rate of 5.76%. Keep in mind that an average engagement rate falls between 1-3.5%, whereas a high engagement rate is between 3.6-6%.

By being out in the community and spending time with our members, We R Foco has evolved into a recognizable brand within Fort Collins. This has been reflected in the increasing growth of our website visits and social media presence. As mentioned, this program has exceeded our goals so far throughout its first year of operation, and we are excited for the continuous growth moving forward!
