Dohn Construction Wellness Program Impacting Staff & Community
Dohn Construction Inc. (DCI) has been impacting the Fort Collins community since 1992. They are driven to change the general contracting industry through valuing clients, employees and subcontractors. In the last five years, the DCI Wellness Program has increased the way they value their employees and their impact on the community.
The DCI Wellness Program was created like most companies, to encourage their staff get healthy. However, Dohn Construction also encourages community participation as part of their Wellness Program. The points-based program has evolved over the years to include rewards based on the areas of well-being, exercise, personal finance and preventative care; All of which go towards earning points for prizes (including time off)!
This program is only one of the reasons we are so proud to call Dohn Construction a founding member of We R Foco. Their passion for the community they have grown roots in, is trickling down to their staff through this innovative way to get them involved!
A few of the events DCI Wellness members participate in are:
- Sharin’ O’ the Green 5K – In March, 2019 the Dohn team took 4th place overall
- Lunch time Yoga – Dohn provides a free 45-minute yoga class every other Tuesday during the lunch hour. This event is welcome to all employees and an instructor comes to their offices for the class
- Dohn Construction Blood Drive – On April 26, Dohn partnered with UCHealth for a mobile blood drive that was open to the public
- Bike to Work Day 2018 – Each year Dohn partners up with other local community business to provide a rest stop on Bike to Work Day
