Flood and Peterson: Giving as the Foundation
We R Foco is comprised of all of Fort Collins’ best locally owned businesses – these are the businesses that are giving back to you. They are pouring into you, your family, your community. For many of these businesses, giving back is not even a question. As Flood and Peterson so eloquently puts it, “Giving back to the community is not simply something we do – it is a foundation of who we are.”
Flood and Peterson is an insurance agency that values both relationships and people. They are passionate about their work, (advising businesses on insurance, employee benefits, surety and risk control) and delivering the best customer service possible to every client. In addition, Flood and Peterson strives to provide their own employees with a great place to work and opportunities to make an impact within the community.
F&P has changed drastically over the past 80 years, however, the contributions and level of care for the communities in which they do business have remained an important aspect of the company culture. Flood and Peterson has its hands in all areas of giving, including civic, trade, and charitable. Each sector is equally important as F&P makes sure to only give where their staff is engaged, their clients are engaged, and where their company goals can align with the recipient. However, most giving is in the form of charity at about 71%. This charitable giving ranges across a broad spectrum of industries. From children’s charities to health-related foundations, sports programs to education, Flood and Peterson loves to contribute. In 2018 alone, F&P employees volunteered approximately 2,300 hours!
