Pathways Invites You to their Summer Memorial Service & Butterfly Release
You may know Pathways for its comprehensive hospice services or wonderful grief and loss services. Or you may know Pathways for the ways it helps those of us still living to remember our loved ones. They do this through art healing classes, support groups, day retreats, memorial services, and so much more. The Summer Memorial Service is coming up on July 13, and this year something very special will be happening: monarch butterflies will be released in memory of those who have died.
Butterflies represent change, hope, and life. Attendees can release a butterfly in memory of a loved one who has died or in hope of healing and courage. Let the monarch be your sign of rebirth and transformation.
Memorial services are an important way to honor our loved ones and help us feel connected to them. It provides a time to reflect on memories and moments that we shared with them. Services also allow our loved ones to live on as we acknowledge their existence and the life that they lived. It’s a time that families and friends are brought together to remember a person that they love. Acknowledging grief and sharing in this with others helps many along the healing and grieving process.
At 10 a.m., anyone is welcome to join Pathways in their new Children’s Healing Garden for a special day of remembrance. Those who have purchased a butterfly ahead of time will be able to release it in honor of a loved one. A reception will follow the release.
Butterfly registration must be received by June 15. You can purchase your butterfl(ies) here. The proceeds from this event benefit the children’s programs at Pathways for Grief & Loss. The memorial service takes place on July 13 at 10 a.m. in the Children’s Healing Garden at Pathways, 305 Carpenter Rd, Fort Collins.
